Kiltwalk in Scotland raises £4,000
LGDA partner Alfie’s Trust in the United Kingdom shared with us one of their efforts to raise funds to support the international mission of the LGDA by participating in the Kiltwalk.
The Kiltwalk is a unique charity that enables individual walkers and groups to raise money for a Scottish charity of their choice. Their aim is to become Scotland’s best known and most loved fundraising event for charities all over the country. This is now Alfie’s Trust’s third year at the Kiltwalk event and it is one of our favourites to be involved in. It not only gives us the opportunity to raise money for our cause but also to raise awareness here in Scotland.
The sun shone for Team Alfie at this year’s Kiltwalk. Taking in some beautiful scenery and some challenging rolling hills our 27 walkers all finished with a smile on their face, even those that took on the challenge of the full 26 miles. We still have sponsorship coming in but to date we have raised just over £4,000. We really do appreciate the support of friends, friends of friends, and complete strangers that hear our story and want to help. Together we are making a difference.
