Warrior Craft Project for 2013 Golf Outing
To add a personal touch to the LGDA Golf Outing Fundraiser for 2013, we are issuing this invitation to Lymphangiomatosis and/or Gorham’s disease patients—Warriors as we call them in the LGD Alliance— to create an item (or items) on their own to be included in the raffle done in conjunction with the Golf Outing. Your contribution may be anything you can create that gives meaning to your life and your struggles with these diseases. Even the smallest of children can participate with help from mom or dad.
The Annual Golf Outing is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2013, in Milwaukee, WI. Donated Warrior Crafts will be available for auction at the event, as well as on the golf outing website, www.lgdagolfouting.info, prior to the event so that those unable to join us in Milwaukee can bid on the items. We are aware that the majority of families aren’t able to attend this benefit so we want to make sure these items are available to everyone. If you would like your or your child’s item to only be available for bid online, we will honor that.
To donate a craft for the auction (online or at the outing), please mail the item to the address below. Be sure to pack your item(s) carefully to prevent damage. On a piece of paper write your name, the name of the patient (if other than yourself), age, diagnosis, the state where you live, and your email address and place it inside the package before wrapping. We will use the Warrior’s first name, age, diagnosis, and state in the auction listing. The email address will be used to notify you that your package has been received and to send you a photo of the item as it will be listed for you to approve the listing.
The deadline for submission of the Warrior Projects will be September 1st, 2013. This will give us time to make all of the preparations and get it online for bidding.
These crafts are meant to bring a personal touch from the Warriors that fight these diseases every day of their lives because this fundraiser is meant to benefit them. Scot Wiesner, one of the organizers of the event, will take very careful care of the crafts donated and get them set up for the auction. Scot is himself a Warrior and understands the personal touch of these items.
Thank you for your support of the LGD Alliance and we look forward to seeing what our Warriors can create. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact Scot Wiesner by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org
