Claire's doctors are currently investigating which medications to start her on to help with bone involvement.  I was wondering which medications have worked or not worked for you?  We are looking for a medication that will slow or stop the progression and/or stop the pain.

Beth,
Katie used to have a lot of bone pains before the treatment. We tried Fosamax (liquid at 17mg/wk) for one year, and it didn't work. Her bone density z-score was at -4.1 then. I think the Zometa helped her. In January just before we stopped the treatment, her bone density z-socre was increased to -0.8. Now in the morning when she wakes up, she can get up and run. And she never complains about any pain. But I am still interested in what medicine that your doctor will choose for Clarie. Please let me know.

Thanks,
Cindy
