Hello,

Our five year old daughter used to participate on swimming once a week. I have been thinking that doing some safe sports would help to stay in good condition despite of this disease. I also think that having some muscles would protect the bones. Now she will not be able to swim for the low platelet count and high risk of nose bleeding and I am quite puzzled with possiblities of hobbies for her. In her case bone lesions are causing the main risk for sports and currently also her hematological trouble.

What kind of sports you or your kids with lymphangiomatosis have been able to do? What restrictions have you felt or given for your kids?

Have you been using any protections to be able to participate better and more safely? I did get soft knee pads for my daughter, since her knees (and legs) are covered with bruises, but these will not prevent her to brake her legs/ribs/arms.
