I just made a donation to the LGD Alliance so research can get underway and make its first steps toward the understanding and treatment of this disease. This foundation also provides emotional, educational and informational support to families worldwide struggling to find a treatment and answers to their questions. Most people with this disease are children. My daughter, Jana (Kelly) Sheets, has beaten the odds as she has had this condition for almost 30 years now. She is an inspiration to others, not only in her courageous battle with this disease, but with the time and dedication she has but into the Alliance and the many, many families she helps.
